Harry Potter To Release Phygital NFT Collection In December

Reports said that Harry Potter is going to release a phygital nonfungible token (NFT) collection on December 1.

It has been reported that the Spot Room, Freeman Jewelry and Harry Potter are releasing a limited edition collection that will consist of four carefully handcrafted designs by the fine jewelers at Freeman Jewelry. In addition, each jewelry piece will be accompanied by an NFT.

However, the magical collection bridges the gap between physical and digital luxury goods with four high-quality designs crafted in Freeman Jewelry’s Seattle studio. Further, the names of the designs include Locket Golden Snitch Necklace (5), Time Turner Diamond Necklace (10), Hogwart’s Acceptance Letter Necklace (30), and Mirror of Erised Necklace (30).

The report said that the 18k yellow gold items range from $1800 and $8600 depending on the supply. It’s worth mentioning that each design incorporates hand engravings that relate to the Harry Potter franchise. Each item has an NFC tag that links to the specific NFT, verifying it through the blockchain.

Vivien Zhang, the CEO of The Spot Room, said:

“Coming from the luxury jewelry industry, I want to empower the industry with blockchain tools that will solve critical issues including trade transparency, product authenticity, proof of ownership and accessing the secondary market.”

Thus, the Spot Room is leading the phygital movement by enabling physical goods to be traded on the blockchain. They are creating the foundation of decentralized commerce, letting users safely trade NFTs that are linked to luxury goods. Zhang is a retail executive who has worked with the likes of Tiffany and Co and Harry Winston. As a luxury space expert and technology lover, she has created The Spot Room.
